Jess

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and have been a certified teacher for seven. Though I initially came to yoga for strength and flexibility, after exploring the more esoteric aspects of the practice in India and Southeast Asia, I began leaving my daily practice with a deeper sense of calm and peace than I had ever known before. I now understand yoga to be a journey of the spirit at its core, and this is the aspect of yoga I most enjoy illuminating for others to discover as well.

I see myself as a "sharer" of yoga, more than a teacher. My aim is to create the space and offer the methods I have learned in order to help others integrate more mindfulness into their everyday lives and to enjoy the physical benefits of the practice as well. My yoga offerings usually include a combination of breathwork, short meditations, and physical asana practice. Morning sessions will incorporate vinyasa flow to invigorate and prepare us for the day ahead, while evening sessions will flow at a slower pace and include restorative, yin postures. All levels are always welcome.

When I am not sharing yoga, I am most likely working on my off grid tiny house-homestead, playing in the garden, or exploring the forest with my pup.
