“This place was MAGICAL!! It was absolutely perfect for our 20 person family reunion. The views were breathtaking, and the accommodations were clean, well thought out, cozy, and just wonderful . Every single member of our group fell in love with the place. The owners, Shawn and Heather, could not have been better hosts. They were always available to answer any questions we had and help in any way. One of the things that was so great for us is that everyone had their own room and private bath to escape to, but then we gathered together at the main lodge. The huge and beautiful front porch was our favorite gathering place to drink coffee in the morning, or wine in the evening , all while taking in the breathtaking views of Mount Mitchell. We were able to cook family dinners in their huge well appointed kitchen, and eat and play games at the many tables they have set up in the lodge. This place is not to be missed - it is truly unlike any place we have been before, and we look forward to gathering there many times in the the years to come.”

“This was a wonderful relaxing get-away. The room was nice and it was nice to have a full fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch, rocking and drinking coffee. The lodge is a cozy place to hang out if you want to get out of your own space and they provided coffees and teas. :-) The property is nice and has several places to relax or hang out with others. It is also close enough to other places that you can experience different parts of the area without having to drive too far. We made trips to Burnsville, Asheville, Little Switzerland and did a bit of trail walking. It was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation and I highly recommend it.”
